Tied fleece blankets can be made by anyone, even those who don't sew! We bought two yards of both solid pink and polka dot fleece. Using a fringe rotary cutter made it easier to prepare the blanket for tying. There are many tutorials out there--here is a pattern you may want to try if you decide to make one.The inset shows a large throw pillow made from a Paris/Eiffel Tower print. Mais oui!We found this wall art on a trip to NYC. It was worth hauling it many, many blocks back to the hotel! The tulle bow covers the hanger where it is attached to the wall. Tres chic!We found this sweet lamp at Home Goods (one of our FAVORITE stores)! If you look closely you will see a fairy peeking out, surrounded by a few friends. Voila! A sweet and stylish room for my sweet and stylish teen! |
Love!!! We're getting ready to move Garner into her brother's larger room. He's moving to the guest room in the basement, because he's going to boarding school in the fall. He's not being sent to the dungeon. There is a bath, den and space for friends to stay/hang out down there.
ReplyDeleteAnyway we will definitely be making that blanket and learning from your tips. Where did you get the quilt for the bed?
Oh, have fun decorating Garner's new room! I know you will love making the blanket--it's so easy and the number of fleece prints out there is amazing. I got the bedspread at Home Goods. It was hard to find the right color pink.
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is such a good idea. I think that Garner can make some for her friends for birthdays, X-mas, etc...
